“Roll, roll, roll in ze hay!”

Well, the kids are headed back to school and teachers are kissing their leisure time goodbye. It’s the end of summer and soon we will enjoy the turning of the leaves and spiced cider. But before we break out the scarves, let’s give summer a proper send-off!

Red Hook Flicks is showing one final outdoor film this Tuesday and it just so happens to be the Mel Brook’s classic Young Frankenstein. Nothing gets me in the mood for Halloween costume shopping quite like Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle howling “Puttin’ on the Ritz”.  Maybe this year I’ll have to do a turn as Frau Blücher. *neigh!*

The film starts 8:30pm (when it gets dark) at Valentino Pier on the beautiful Brooklyn waterfront. So pack a picnic basket, call the babysitter, and join your fellow comedy degenerates at the last truly twisted tale of summer.  See you there!
